Software upgrades, smart video sharing make it easy for everyone to master aerial photography and videography

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — ZEROTECH, a leading innovator of smart drones and flight control solutions, announced new features for its DOBBY pocket drone and introduce ZEROSPACE — formation flying product based on Computer Vision. New features of DOBBY include the following:

  • 30- and 60-second auto track short video recording allows DOBBY to fly higher and take longer videos
  • Orbit Video Mode tracks the user and automatically records videos in a circular orbit

Originally launched in September 2016, DOBBY is a compact, easy-to-use selfie drone featuring motion guided control connected to the user’s smartphone. DOBBY provides a simple, intuitive user interface, enabling consumers to utilize features such as palm take-off and landing, voice-enabled control and dual satellite positioning with ease. DOBBY includes a 13 megapixel camera with a field of view of 75 degrees and 1080p FHD video capabilities, producing crystal-clear pictures and videos, even from a distance.

With its patented design, DOBBY is lightweight and can fold up to fit into your pocket. Despite weighing a mere 7 ounces (199 grams) and taking advantage of not need to register in American, DOBBY combines the best-in-class technology characteristic of high-performance drones, including facial recognition and target tracking which is based on CV.

Fun and Easy-to-Use for Everyone

With innovative technology packed into its pocket-sized design, DOBBY can be toted anywhere to take family and group selfies to the next level. The drone is easy to pilot and snap photos and video clips using the Do.Fun smart phone app. The camera’s facial recognition, target tracking and auto track short video recording allow the user to create cinema-quality effects during daily shooting. DOBBY will fly higher and come back automatically and take videos. The new Orbit Video Mode feature flies DOBBY circularly and takes videos at the same time, making it easy for users to create 360° selfie videos.

Steady flight and CV based tracking enables DOBBY and ZEROSPACE

At CES 2017, ZEROTECH also introduce the drone formation dancing product — ZEROSPACE. This formation dancing is based on CV as well as target tracking helping it gain the attention of attendees at the event. According to Echo Lin, Marketing Communication Director of ZEROTECH, ZEROTECH wanted to show different kinds of scenarios and the steady flight of DOBBY Pocket Drone.

Widely Available in North America

DOBBY is available for purchase in-store and online at BestBuy, Amazon, Adorama,B&H Photo and Fry’s Electronics in the United States for $399.
