Judges Review 3,600 Entries in 7 Categories, Issue Merit Points Applied Toward Associate, Master, and Grand Master Photography Certifications Through “Sue Bryce Education”
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) November 28, 2017
Following the success of its first international conference, “The Portrait Masters” is pleased to announce the winners of its first photography contest, which allows qualified entrants to gain international recognition by earning merit points toward official certifications at the Associate, Master, and Grand Master photographer levels. Photographers who qualify for accreditation are added to “The Portrait Masters” database and receive digital and printed documentation to help them market their achievement on their website and in the studio. Photographers do not need to win a contest category to accumulate merit points toward accreditation.
“The Portrait Masters photo contest is more than just an outlet for photographers to be recognized for their beautiful photographs. It is a program that rewards their technical and aesthetic acumen with official certifications that are recognized internationally,” explains Sue Bryce, founder of Sue Bryce Education and co-founder of The Portrait Masters. “By combining our tutorials at Sue Bryce Education with our annual The Portrait Masters Conference and this photo contest, we have created a comprehensive learning center that rewards and acknowledges significant professional achievements.”
Each level of accreditation, beginning with Associate, is earned by accruing 25 merit points which are issued at the sole discretion of the judges. Contest entries do not need to win a category to earn merit points. Lorelei White, a photographer based in Billerica, Massachusetts and the Grand Champion for the portrait of her niece Alivia, was excited to receive the call that she her image was judged best-of-show.
“I never expected to win any award from The Portrait Masters when I submitted my images for judging,” explains Lorelei White. “My goal was to have my images critiqued by top professionals in the industry and take the first steps towards receiving my Associate Photographer Accreditation, which was my ultimate goal. I joined Sue Bryce Education one year ago and in that time I have grown not only as a photographer but as a determined business woman. Connecting with Sue Bryce was the best business decision I have made by far,” Ms. White added.
In addition to providing qualified photographers with accreditations, The Portrait Masters helps them market their accomplishments to current and prospective clients by providing logos, digital assets, and traditional certificates for self-promotion.
“The Portrait Masters” Conference was created to give photographers and enthusiasts anywhere in the world an opportunity to learn the latest photographic techniques from a group of world class photographers and educators. The Conference, which debuted in September and received widespread acclaim for combining a live “boutique” conference with international live streaming of all activities, announced it is planning its next conference to take place in the fall of 2018. Specific dates and details about the 2018 conference for portrait photographers will be made available shortly.
“The Portrait Masters Conference and photo contest were extremely well-received by photographers around the world and have become the new benchmark of excellence for education and recognition of outstanding achievements among photographers,” said Craig Swanson, co-founder of Digital Product Studio, an innovative developer of highly-advanced online education platforms and co-host of The Portrait Masters Conference. “The number of entries we received, along with the incredible level of quality and creativity, reaffirms our belief that The Portrait Masters fulfills a creative outlet among photographers that has been lacking until now.”
