Ian Hamilton is the NPD Group’s Technology Sector President and is responsible for the Consumer, Business-to-Business (B2B), and Mobile Technology practices at NPD. Ian leads all technology research, product development, and business planning and management for the Technology Sector. He also manages client-facing teams in the United States, Japan, South Korea, and China dedicated to new business development, current client development, and strategic partnerships across multiple technology markets.
Ian has spent 20 years working in various capacities in the technology industry. Throughout this time, he has focused on leveraging information from data sources, both public and proprietary, in order to create products, services, and insights that help technology companies drive growth in hyper-competitive markets.
Prior to joining NPD in 2007, Ian worked at Current Analysis, where as Principal Analyst he managed a team of industry analysts that developed B2B channel and marketing strategies for Fortune 500 technology organizations. Before his work with Current Analysis, Ian worked at Accenture. Ian received his MBA with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship from San Diego State University.
