August 23, 2018, Commack, New York– Tamron announces announces with the sponsorship of Loco Solare (LS Kitami), a women’s curling team based in Tokoro-cho, Kitami City, Hokkaido.Loco Solare, established in August 2010, won its first Japan Curling Championship in February 2016. It boasted the top record in Japan and represented the country in the PyeongChang Olympic Games in February 2018, winning Japan’s first bronze medal in curling. The team name means “Local Sun”, named so with the hope to play like sunshine, competing with the world’s top teams.
