Award-winning photographer, Sasha Nialla, in partnership with NYU Athletics, a Division III NCAA University, photographed a series of dramatic and artistic portraits featuring a range of athletes.

NEW YORK (PRWEB) May 31, 2018

Sasha Nialla is known for transforming everyday people into beautiful works of art. With the NYU athletes, Sasha allowed their psychological strengths to shine thru in her artistic interpretation. The contrast in the black and white images focus the viewer on the athlete’s emotion and joy in belonging to a team while the warm, colorful images allow the viewer to see the confidence and focus of the athlete.

Sasha’s technique of utilizing a mix of Profoto strobes with continuous tungsten lighting spotlights the athlete as a finished product of art while highlighting the layers in the psychology of an athlete.

Psychology is a significant part of sports. The most commonly reported attributes for successful and unsuccessful performance outcomes are psychological factors. Studies have proven that motivation is the driving force in the athlete is achieving his or her goals and becoming the best athlete he or she can be.
